Unidoom was founded in 1998 by Ralphis, initially as a review website on freeservers.com

In 1999, Ralphis befriended Jarrieto, another PA doomer. Together, they had high hopes of creating a Doom prequel and take to http://doomworld.com to seek out help.
Two new members joined Unidoom, Duker900 and Kracov, creating the Big 4. Soon after, UDM began development.

By 2000, Ralphis was seen wearing the UD tag in csDoom. Come 2001, a FireArms division was made.
